Andalucian Bed & Breakfast
This is not our first Andalucian Bed & Breakfast, but our motto is the same: 'mi casa es tu casa' - my house is your house. We welcome you as strangers but hope you will leave as friends, and if there is anything at all we can do to make your stay more enjoyable, we hope that you will tell us.
JULY AND AUGUST SELF-CATERING OPTION
During July and August the entire independent guest area with two bedrooms, bathrooms and guest lounge/terrace is available on a self-catering basis. There is no actual kitchen but a fridge and equipment for preparing simple meals. The pool and surrounding terraces is available to guests at any time, just shared with ourselves.
Price for self-catering is €550 per week with a €100 discount for occupation by just two people using one bedroom.
The Guest Zone
The guest area occupies the ground floor of the house and has its own separate entrance with parking adjacent so you can come and go as you please.
The spacious sitting room has satellite TV (free-to-air channels), DVD player and huge selection of books. It also has a fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, coffee-maker and a plancha (table-top grill) so you can make yourself a cup of coffee or a snack at any time.
There is log burning stove for cooler evenings and air-conditioning for the summer.
The sitting room leads out onto a large covered terrace, furnished with sofa, easy chairs, dining table and chairs. The views from the terrace are to the Sierra Cabrera in the south and our wonderful sunsets to the west.
From the terrace, steps lead up to the swimming pool area, furnished with loungers and sunshades. You are welcome to use the pool, terraces and barbecue at any time.
Below your terrace is a boules pitch. if you haven't yet tried it, it won't take long to teach you. It's a good way to get some gentle exercise on a warm evening to work up an appetite.
We are busy planting various fruit trees: you are welcome to help yourself in season.
The Guest Rooms
We have spent many happy holidays in French Chambres d'Hôtes and the best of them have been our inspiration. We have also identified things which did not appeal to us! As a result, all our mattresses are firm and comfortable, sheets 100% cotton, bathroom lighting good and towels large.
With an eye to luggage restrictions we also provide pool towels which you are welcome to take to the beach, and hairdryers.
Both guest rooms have airconditioning/heating units and mosquito screens. The French doors lead out onto the covered west terrace.
Los Naranjos room has a 1.5m bed, extensive built-in wardrobe, en-suite bathroom with bath (shower over), wc and hand basin.
Los Olivos room has a 1.6m bed and its bathroom has a huge walk-in shower. This bathroom is immediately next door to the bedroom and a curtain separates the entrances to these rooms from the hallway. There is a tv with its own digibox in this room.
Food Matters
Food is very important at Finca la Serenidad: from the simplest breakfast to an elaborate celebration meal, we like to do it all.
Our room price includes a substantial continental-style breakfast but if your holiday is not complete without a Full English this is available for a minimum of 2 people and a small supplement.
We love to cook (actually, only one of us does but we both love to entertain!) and evening meals are available with 24 hours notice. With a bit more notice we can make sure we invite some extra people so that it becomes the sort of sociable affair we have so enjoyed in French Chambres d'Hôtes over the years. Apéritif, nibbles, 3 courses, wine and coffee €19 per person. Child meals quote on application.
